Putnam bans using taxpayer dollars to repay private developers
By Michael Risinit • mrisinit@lohud.com • July 8, 2010

CARMEL — A measure last month aimed at reimbursing developer Paul Camarda with sales-tax money for road fixes he makes near his proposed Patterson Crossing shopping center prompted Putnam County lawmakers this week to ban such financing in the future.

I like where Paul says, "This action by some members of the Legislature is sadly all about pandering and personal political gain. It unfortunately reinforces Putnam's anti-business reputation and philosophy, which has helped to create the overwhelming tax burden for residents.".

Didn't he specifically say, as a condition of getting this project through the approval process, that he would pay for this work to be done? But now he wants to saddle the taxpayer with this burden of paying for it?

Camarda wrote the book on "pandering and political gain." Trying to circumvent the local approval process, he thought he could manipulate the levers of the county and even the State by engaging in brazen lobbying efforts to have taxpayers pay for the carnage that will be visited if Patterson Crossing comes into being.

More and more people are on to him.  They are not anti-business but are sick and tired of Camarda giving them the business.  Angry
