The Journal News Forced Us to Remove all of their Articles from this Site

For many years we have posted Journal News articles on this site.  These articles told a history of important issues of what happened in the Town of Carmel.  A history of the actions of our elected officials, developments that residents successfully opposed, of safety and health issues.  These articles were not available any where else.  Having them on this site was an important resource for the community.

For many years we have cooperated with the Journal News and the Journal News has encouraged us to post articles on this site.  Why the sudden turn around? Who wanted the articles to be removed?

On March 2, 2003, the attorneys for the Journal News had this site shut-down. The site was down for two days.

We have restored the site without the Journal News articles.  We will leave the links to the articles on the site with the hope that the Journal News realizes the disservice they have paid to the community - and with the hope that they will show some civic responsibility and change their mind.

(The links that remain on the site are to current articles that remain on the JN server.  The older articles that we have posted to this site are not available on the JN server or anywhere else. Our site served to provide a history from which our residents could have learned.)
