Highlights from the proposed budget

• No property tax increase

• 36 cents of every property tax dollar collected by the county will go toward its share of Medicaid costs.

• The primary revenue source in the 2002 budget is sales tax revenue — 32 percent.

• $4.35 million for the purchase of Tilly Foster Farms.

Other land acquisitions on the county's list:

• Putnam Country Club/former Mahopac Airport off Hill Street, which Bondi wants to turn into a park and a county-owned golf course.

• Kent Acres, a former farm where 300 townhouses were proposed.

• The Marathon Battery site in Cold Spring, a former Superfund site.

• Bondi also wants the county to acquire all the privately held land in Putnam's portion of the Great Swamp and is proposing improvements to Peekskill Hollow Road while preserving it as a scenic highway.
