The following is the actual proposed
wording for the Referendum
to be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2001
Shall the resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Carmel authorizing
the
entry into a contract of sale with Hudson Valley Realty Corp., 1699 Route Six,
Suite 1, Carmel, NY 10512 for the sale of approximately 19 acres of land
owned by the Town located off Route 6 in the Hamlet of Carmel and
identified as Tax Map Designation 55.11-1-31 and 55-2-24, which contract,
contains three options (The three options available to the Town at its sole
choice are: Option 1 - Selling price $1,150,000.00;Option 2 - Selling price
$1,000,000 plus 7 acres of lands; Option 3 - Selling price $750,000.00
plus 12 acres of land. All three options include a skating rink and
playground on one acre of land paid for by the Purchaser. Options 2 and 3
also
include installation of Town water and sewer and road frontage with access
to a public road on either the 7 or 12 acre parcel) be approved?
